In 2020, according to the International Coffee Organization, Honduras produced 6100000 bags of 60 kg coffee. This compares with 3750000 bags of Guatemalan coffee, 2650000 bags of Nicaraguan coffee beans, 1450000 bags of Costa Rican coffee, 600000 bags of El Salvador coffee and 115000 bags of Panamanian coffee.

The 6.1 million bags of coffee produced in Honduras in 2020 made it the sixth largest coffee producer in the world, after Brazil, Vietnam, Colombia, Ethiopia and Indonesia.

Honduras also takes the lead in exporting delicious coffee to the rest of the world, as shown in the following figure (showing the top 10 coffee exporters in the first 12 months of 2020):

Grown between 4250 and 5575 feet above sea level, Makala Fairtrade Coffee in freshly roasted coffee is medium roasted and bold. Its cupping notes include walnuts, milk chocolate and lemons. It is harvested from December to April, wet processed, baked and exported from February to June.
