Coffee drawing teaching pattern how to make latte heart-shaped flower drawing pattern course diagram
"Why can't my latte produce a nice pattern?"
Why can others shake the milk vat casually and there will be striated hearts and leaves! I feel like I'm shaking, but it's all a lump... Is there something wrong with my hand? " No, no! Maybe it's because you don't hold the cylinder properly.
Beginners should choose a fixed posture for practice.
And form muscle memory.
I believe that there are many friends who watch online videos when learning to pull flowers, in which the teachers hold the cylinder in different positions, so that we keep changing the position of holding the cylinder while learning. Finally, I found that no matter how much I practiced, the pattern of each cup was still very gone with the wind, and my wrists were still very sour.
In fact, no matter which kind of position to hold the cylinder, there is only one purpose: while holding the vat firmly, the wrist can move flexibly at the same time. One thing to pay attention to is to hold firmly and hold on to the flower jar instead of clinging to it. If the milk jar is too tight, the wrist can not move flexibly! The net weight of a flower jar is about 180-280g. When milk is added, the weight will increase several times. If you don't choose a comfortable posture and practice for a long time, no matter how hard you try, the pattern will not be stable.
When you practice in a fixed position for more than 20 days, it will become your habit. After you form a habit, you will find that your wrists can flexibly control the movement of the milk tank and the flow rate of milk bubbles, and will not cause hand trembling due to muscle soreness, and the stability of the pattern will be greatly improved.
How to hold the flower jar steadily? What are the positions of holding the cylinder?
Everyone's wrist strength is different, so in many cases we need to hold the position of the fingers to assist, it is very important to choose a handy grip position! Don't practice the posture you feel awkward by force.
The first kind of grip: fist grip cylinder (suitable for small friends with low wrist strength)
It is suitable for making basic patterns such as heart shape, tulips, leaves, etc.
Fist grip is to hold the handle of the milk tank with all your fingers. In this case, the strength of the hand is very strong, but be careful not to hold on to the handle! Nor do you hold it casually with your fingers, so that the handle can shake freely in the space between your fingers! The former is that you hold it too hard, which will affect the flexibility of your wrist.
(grip too tight)
The latter is that if you don't hold it hard, the milk tank will not flow out of the milk bubble with the rhythm of your wrist swing, and even the milk tank will have its own ideas to shake out the milk foam at will, so the pattern is easy to appear in a state of a lump.
(hold too loose)
The second grip: thumb and index finger handle (suitable for strong wrist companions)
It is suitable for making patterns and combinations with obvious patterns.
This grip is close to the first, except that the thumb and index finger hold the top sides of the handle and concentrate the strength of the hand on the two fingers, and then the middle finger, ring finger and little finger act as an auxiliary grip to stabilize the rest of the handle. This grip can better control the flow rate of milk bubbles, and many baristas use it when practicing making embossed / combined patterns.
Why do I handle the foam well and hold the jar in the right position?
It's just that you often can't produce a pattern?
First of all, a latte, it doesn't matter whether you spend it or not! The important thing is that fusion ~ because poor fusion not only affects the production of patterns, but also affects the performance of coffee flavor and taste.
To blend evenly, keep the milk tank at a distance of 5-8cm from the coffee level, then hold the cup diagonally and blend at a low flow rate. When merging, only choose to turn the milk jar / coffee cup one of them, do not rotate at the same time, it is easy to make the milk foam and coffee fight to produce blistering. When the fusion is full, you can start to make patterns.
After the fusion is completed, we can make a pause (no more than 3 seconds, and then begin to layer the mixed foam, making the mixed foam lose its fluidity). The purpose of the pause is to stabilize the rotating current and avoid subsequent pattern drift. When it comes to the picture, we need to straighten the cup at the same time, so that the foam can flow into the cup with the change of angle.
