Treat employees as perpetual motion machines?! Lucky updates its AI scheduling system

Recently, Ruixing has updated its internal system for scheduling hours of store workers, using Ai technology to collect data from previous business periods of stores, predicting the daily number of shifts in stores and corresponding working hours, and allocating existing manpower in a more efficient and reasonable manner.
However, this new form of scheduling has led to the dissatisfaction of many lucky workers, who have posted posts complaining about the automatic scheduling that now afflicts them.
According to Ruixingda workers, the most important reference data of the new scheduling system is the number of goods sold in the store. When the system predicts the number of goods for a certain period of time tomorrow based on previous data, it will arrange the corresponding personnel according to this forecast data. In short, the system estimates the volume of cups out of stores. If AI calculates that the volume of cups in the store is small and the business is not good, then only one person will be on duty to reduce the manpower costs required by each store.
This may not sound much different from the previous scheduling system, but in fact, many employees say bluntly that the new set of rules only arrange people according to the amount of drinks per hour, but do not consider that in addition to making drinks, the staff on duty also need to complete the invisible work such as store cleaning, inventory, material preparation, expiration check and so on.
As a result, most people say that the amount of work they need to do while on duty is far more than AI's calculations, and sometimes they can only work half an hour or an hour of unpaid overtime to finish tasks they haven't been able to complete because they can't do it within the specified time.
But if a big order comes suddenly from the store, or if the newly used tea extractor goes on strike or the cream gun runs out, the clerk on duty alone is like opening a hell-level work mode-not only to make drinks quickly in order to maintain a high rate of timeliness in the store, but also to complete all kinds of cleaning tasks required by the background and keep the bar clean and tidy. It is also necessary to be polite and appease the other person when facing a customer's reminder.
Some hard-working workers joked that even if the three-headed and six-armed Nezha wanted to complete Lucky's "both want and want", he would probably work until he smoked. " It's like a perpetual motion machine keeps turning all the time. "who on earth came up with this kind of broken shift? when the employees are cattle and horses fighters,"they are already on the way to being driven mad and forced to leave,"it is a trend no matter whether the workers are dead or alive," and "Ruixing doesn't care if people want to eat, drink water and go to the toilet."
They say that the system scheduling seems to give employees a reasonable working hours and allocate the human resources of each store reasonably, but this is not the case. Their real working hours are completely different from the arrangement of the system. The clerk who was on duty alone during the rush hour in the store did not have one more person to help cope with the non-stop orders of the receipt machine, but only incarnated as a never-ending robot in the bar, only knowing how to finish the ticket numb.
All this has made many beating workers dare to open wheat, and it is suggested that those management staff who come up with new tricks such as just-in-time rate and systematic scheduling should come to the store to experience their difficult daily work firsthand. Feel the fatigue and collapse when employees are so busy under the pressure of lucky rules that they can't even eat, drink and go to the toilet.
