To make good coffee, here are seven simple rules:

Use freshly roasted coffee beans and store them for up to a week, preferably half an hour before roasting.

Store coffee beans in containers protected from light.

Coffee beans freshly ground before brewing.

Put the tap water on for a few seconds before use, then boil it with fresh cold water just coming from the tap, but not for too long, and don't pour boiling water on coffee.

Use whatever method you like-plunger, drip or whatever-to make sure the coffee has enough brewing time.

Drink it right away.

Remember to preheat the cup before pouring coffee.
