Lim Dong-Won, a coffee master from Taiwan and known as the "Coffee Prince", recently performed a wonderful "Coffee pull" show for coffee enthusiasts in Changsha. A common cappuccino or latte was pulled out by him with different patterns of love, leaves, butterflies and so on.
The coffee pull is a change made on the original cappuccino or latte. Lim Dong-Won, who has won many times in the Taiwan Coffee Masters Competition, said that his self-created coffee flower has more than 40 different patterns. In addition to the more common leaves and heart-shaped patterns on the market, butterflies, swans, conch, jellyfish and so on have become his flower-pulling materials.
Unlike the common flower-pulling practice of pouring the milk foam into the coffee and then drawing patterns on the milk foam with auxiliary equipment, Lim Dong-Won prefers to pour the milk foam while accurately controlling the coffee cup with his left hand and shaking the milk foam with his right hand, which makes it more difficult to complete the pattern. Lim Dong-Won says that to make a good fancy cup of coffee, you must rationally analyze the ratio of coffee to milk and carefully observe the effect and taste of different proportions.
