Last Updated: 2024/11/03, Brisbane, host city of the 2014 G20 leaders' summit, issued a press release on the 10th, deciding to take the lead in implementing the innovative idea of a "global cafe", attracting influential leaders from around the world to launch a series of global dialogues focused on the future of mankind, and providing innovative ideas for the G20 summit on November 15-16.

The Brisbane Global Cafe will explore key issues such as how to improve human living standards, develop cities for the future, promote future economic development and labor demand, and develop tourism frontier areas. The program consists of three parts, starting with a two-day event that includes speeches, workshops and media encounters organized during the G20 Leaders Summit, followed by a series of events between July and November, and ending with an online information and discussion forum.

"The formal Brisbane G20 leaders summit will focus on how to achieve strong economic and employment growth and deal with future economic shocks, while the Global Cafe program will focus on improving human living standards, improving technology and design to fill gaps in these issues." Brisbane Mayor Graham? Cook said: "Brisbane's 'Global Cafe' initiative is a bold idea that enriches the G20 leaders 'summit experience. Our goal is to create a thought leaders program to deepen global understanding and communication, and we hope that future cities hosting G20 leaders summits will continue this program."

The Global Cafe project, promoted by Brisbane Promotion Bureau of Brisbane Economic Development Commission, explores four main topics: medical care, science, how to extend human life, improve human living standards, and what breakthroughs will be made in the future. How has the digital revolution affected our lives? What are the prospects for tourism development? What will cities look like in the future? The programme is open to all international and Australian media, industry opinion leaders, academics and interested individuals. Cook said: "The G20 leaders summit will welcome nearly 3000 journalists from all over the world. This is undoubtedly the best time to discuss the common aspirations and aspirations of mankind."

Brisbane Promotions Chief Executive John Aitken said,"Brisbane's Global Cafe will set up a global discussion with engaging content. We will invite world-renowned experts to write articles, collect content from global media, and create our own content on topics discussed."

Brisbane's Global Cafe website has been successfully launched, and the list of speakers will be announced in the coming months. During the G20 Summit, nearly 4000 delegates and 3000 media representatives will gather in Brisbane.
