For children, teenagers and pregnant women, it is best to limit caffeine intake lower. It's not that you can't drink any coffee and tea during pregnancy, but it's best to limit your daily caffeine intake to less than 200 milligrams. Excessive caffeine intake may increase the risk of miscarriage. The metabolism of caffeine also slows down during pregnancy, which may affect the sleep of expectant mothers.
