What's the effect of drinking coffee? coffee can get rid of bad breath!
The science of halitosis is also well researched, with the advent of mouthwash, breath freshener and chewing gum. Now there is a new study, that is, we now drink coffee, coffee contains substances to suppress bad breath.
A new study by Israeli scientists found that coffee contains substances that inhibit bad breath and may be used in mouthwash, breath freshener or chewing gum in the future to keep breath fresh. Tel Aviv University breath expert Mel. Professor Rosenberg accidentally discovered this magical effect of coffee in the experiment. Previously, it was generally believed that drinking coffee would make your breath bad. In fact, when coffee and milk are mixed, they dehydrate the inside of the mouth and ferment to produce smelly substances.
Rosenberg's team took two types of Israeli coffee and one type of Nestle instant coffee and placed them in glass tubes filled with saliva. They initially hoped the experiment would prove that coffee mixed with saliva produced a smelly gas.
The results were unexpected. The researchers found that coffee prevented the production of "odors" and in some experiments, coffee reduced "odors" by 90%. "We predicted that coffee would cause bad breath, but in fact, during this magic brewing process, certain components of coffee were found to inhibit bad breath," Rosenberg said.
Scientists believe bad breath is inevitable, and even the healthiest of us wake up with bad breath. Oral cavity tongue, tooth socket and other parts are plaque "paradise", this bacteria can produce volatile sulfur compounds, make the mouth emit odor; if you eat onions, garlic and other heavy taste of food, bad breath will last for a long time, because the blood will absorb these food components, and then enter the lungs, and then exhale.
Rosenberg plans to isolate coffee's magic halitosis-suppressing substance, believing it can inhibit plaque formation and block bad breath at its source. It could replace breath mint as the basis for a new generation of mouthwashes, breath fresheners and chewing gum.
Traditional mouthwash and chewing gum can only cover up halitosis temporarily and cannot completely eliminate it.
