The methods for detecting and replacing heating elements are described below:

Step 1: be sure to empty all liquids and coffee grounds in the appliance, and then turn them upside down to remove the base.

Step 2: after exposing the heating element, it can be tested with an on-off detector or multimeter as any conductor is tested. Disconnect the device from the circuit, and then connect the probe to both ends of the element to verify whether the element can conduct electricity.

Step 3: if it cannot conduct electricity, replace the heating element or the entire assembly. Mark the position of all loose wires and assemblies with masking tape so that they can be reconnected.
