Indonesia is a country rich in coffee beans, ranking fourth in the world in terms of output, exporting more than 510000 tons in 2009. Indonesia's unique soil conditions, geographical location and cultivation methods have created the distinctive taste of Indonesian coffee.

The coffee beans are as expensive as gold, selling at $600a pound and producing less than 500lbs a year, while a cup of Kopi Luwak brewed with 12 grams of powdered coffee costs Rmb380s and is in limited supply, with only 12 cups a day sold in Indonesia Pavilion at the Shanghai Expo Park.

The Indonesian name of "Kopi Luwak" is Kopi Luwak,Kopi, which means coffee. Luwak is a kind of wild animal called civet. It is said that the coffee is made from feces from Asian civets or other civets after eating local coffee beans. This coffee raw material goes through strict sanitary procedures, and after drying, roasting and brewing, it produces a unique flavor.

Although Kopi Luwak sounds strange, it tastes mellow and has a good aftertaste. Due to the limited raw materials, "Kopi Luwak" naturally also ranked on the luxury list.
