Hairdressing foam--

A large amount of steam is blown into the surface of the milk, and the milk is heated and filled with gas. This causes the milk to produce microfoams made up of tiny bubbles, giving the light whipped cream an ideal consistency.

Tools / raw materials

Whole milk

DK-2075A coffee maker

Stainless steel milk jar

Methods / steps

one

This technique uses 6 ounces (170 to 190 milliliters) of milk to make 2 cups of cappuccino.

two

Import milk into the stainless steel vat until the capacity of the vat is ⅓.

three

Insert a kitchen thermometer into the vat (you can also use a thermometer with a clip).

Hold the long handle of the vat and place it under the steam pipe.

Insert the steam pipe into the milk and soak the steam nozzle into the milk.

Fully turn on the steam switch.

If the surface of the milk tumbles violently and a large foam is formed, move the steam nozzle to the depths of the milk and reduce the amount of steam appropriately until a small, uniform foam appears. Our goal is to give milk a velvety texture.

Sound is the basis for judging whether the operation is correct or not:

 operation error sound: if the sound sounds like blowing bubbles with a straw, then the operation is wrong. This bubble like a soap bubble will soon disappear. This sound indicates that the depth of the steam nozzle inserted into the milk is not enough to produce enough vapor pressure.

The sound that  operates correctly: if you hear a series of deep rumbles, it means that the operation is correct. The volume of milk will also expand.

Beat the foam until the volume of the milk doubles (the vat feels hot).

Turn off the steam switch when the temperature reaches 60 ℃. After the steam pipe is removed, the temperature of the milk will continue to rise, and the highest temperature should be 71 ℃. The temperature of hair foam is several degrees lower than that of steam foam because there is air inside it. )

Carefully wipe the nozzle of the steam pipe with a hot, clean, damp cloth. Turn on the steam switch with clean hands and rinse the milk left in the steam pipe with clean water.

Don't pass the milk over and over again! Otherwise, the steam pipe will contain too much water, and the effect will not be ideal.

Do not let the temperature of the milk exceed 71 ℃. This will make the milk spoil, taste less sweet, and even produce burnt taste.
