[Shape Difference]

Arabica coffee bean fruit is oval, generally have two slightly flat beans, bean body small and round, the front is long oval, the middle crack narrow and curved S shape, the arc shape of the back of the bean is relatively flat, mainly produced in South America, Central America, Africa, Asia, China's Yunnan, Hainan, Taiwan also planted a small amount of Arabica coffee beans,

Robusta coffee beans are oval in shape, small in size, relatively round, a little swollen on the cracked side in the middle, straight grooves, weak aroma, bitter taste, reminiscent of soybeans, mainly used to make instant coffee, due to origin in Africa, so most Africans drink Robusta coffee.

Different flavor characteristics

Arabica Coffee has a wide variety of flavors. Arabica coffee produced in different regions, at different altitudes and in different climates usually has its own characteristics and can show very different personality flavors. "Arabica" coffee smells like grass when it is not roasted, and when properly roasted, it shows "fruity"(medium light roast) and "caramel sweet"(deep roast), generally with better aroma and flavor than Robusta beans. This makes it the only coffee of these native species that can be drunk directly and alone, as a single product or as an Italian blend.

Robusta coffee usually tastes more ordinary, dull, pungent, and because most of the world's Robusta coffee is grown in low-altitude areas (currently only India grows rare high-altitude, high-quality, washed Robusta coffee beans), the flavor difference between different regions and different climates is not too large, and it lacks personality. When unroasted, it smells like raw peanuts. Cheap Robusta coffee beans usually exhibit a taste between "wheat tea flavor"(medium light roast) and "rubber tire flavor"(deep roast) after roasting, which is difficult to show detailed flavor.
