Why is Robusta so notorious? Robusta beans, which are round in appearance and look like soybeans at first glance, are also known as thick and strong beans. They have strong resistance to diseases and insect pests, large output and low price. The boutique coffee industry used to have a very poor impression of Robusta because it usually does not have a charming and meticulous flavor. The bigger problem is that because the setting is a low-cost product, most of the planting methods are very rough, resulting in a bad smell. It often smells like dirt, dirt, and sometimes even a smell like charred tires and burning plastic. Ten years ago, I had a chance to taste several cheap Vietnamese robusta beans, some of which were unforgettable because they were like charred wheat tea flavored with tires, and I couldn't help spitting them out with the other nine bad flavors. I don't want another sip.
Wow! If Robusta beans are so bad, why talk about it? That's a good question! As mentioned at the beginning of this article, everything has its advantages and disadvantages. Good beans take you to heaven, rotten beans let you hang your heart! This is true of Arabica, and Robusta is no exception! In fact, under the tide of boutique coffee in recent years, exquisite robusta beans with high standard treatment have appeared in the world! The representative of boutique India Kappi Royale beans is India's Robusta (Robusta "Kappi Royale" Robusta).
Robusta generally grows in the Eastern Hemisphere, mainly in Africa, Indonesia and Vietnam. Arabica is also grown in Africa and Papua New Guinea, but today it is mainly grown in Latin America. Among the major coffee producing countries in the world, Colombia only grows Arabica coffee. The vast majority of coffee grown in Vietnam is Robusta. Both Brazil and India are grown.
The price of Arabica is higher. Most instant coffee is robusta, and cheap coffee is robusta. Although we can buy Arabica coffee at a higher price, Arabica coffee is not necessarily of high quality.
The difference between Arabica and Robusta
Generally speaking, Robusta has a smaller particle size than Arabica and is not as rich in taste and aroma as Arabica. But what kind of coffee you choose depends on your own taste, and everyone has a different definition of good coffee.
1, the market share is relatively large, there are many varieties of coffee, first of all, the two most common varieties are: Arabica and Robusta! The coffee beans on the market, unless there is coffee specially grown by Robusta, no matter what name you encounter, such as Yega Sheffield, Mantenin, Columbia, etc., all belong to the subline or native varieties under the Arabica variety. 2. Arabica is generally more expensive than other coffee beans. 3. Under different planting conditions, it is best to grow at high altitude, with lower temperature and lower yield. It has a stronger taste, elegant mellow and acidity; about 1% caffeine (by weight) is expensive: other coffee beans are usually grown at lower elevations and higher temperatures, resulting in higher yields. Arabica coffee grows best with a lighter taste, about 2% caffeine, a lower price and less production. Arabica coffee has a much more refined flavor than other coffee, and its caffeine content accounts for only 1% of the total weight of coffee.

It has won more praise than any other coffee: known as "green gold".
