Las Lajas Manor, which has been operated for three generations, is a beautiful coffee farm with its own ecological treatment plant, located on the fertile hills of the Poas volcano in the central valley of Costa Rica. A unique and innovative way to invest in the establishment of nature conservation organic agriculture, became an organic certified coffee farm in Costa Rica in 2000, and the production of high-quality coffee enjoys a high reputation in the market.
Establish a natural shaded manor by organic planting, shaded by native trees; the planting process does not use chemical fertilizers and pesticides at all, and natural and homemade compost is used to increase crop nutrients. It takes three to five years for this organic planting method to be recognized as organic planting until the analysis of soil, branches, leaves, and fruits does not see the listed chemicals.
The manor only collects coffee cherries that are fully ripe and of good quality, in order to save water resources, use a pulper to remove the pericarp, put the peas with pectin on an African-style scaffolding for sun exposure, and maintain proper air circulation during the drying process to produce sweeter and cleaner coffee.
