Introduction:

Alois Strasil Hartmann was born in 1891 in what is now the Czech Republic and came to Panama in 1912

Because he didn't like living in the city, he came to Chiriqui province to reclaim wasteland, during the first World War in 1918.

He was put in a New York prison in the United States, was released and returned to Panama with European immigrants living in Panama, and Germany.

The immigrant woman Susana Troetsch married and gave birth to her first son Ratibor Hartmann in 1920.

In the Volcan area, he began to grow coffee, and the estate was named "Tizingal" which means

"Mine of the Stars", later sold Tizingal Manor and moved to La Silla de Pando
