Introduction of bourbon Variety-Obata Coffee

Obat ã is a difficult plant to take care of and takes about 330days to mature. However, disease resistance, high yield and low temperature growth are still good, and high-quality coffee is still produced at lower elevations, which is very suitable for the environment in northeastern Brazil. (link) according to world coffee research, Obat ã is classified as a dwarf plant with high yield, good quality, suitable for low altitude, requires a lot of nutrients, and then carries a certain degree of leaf rust resistance gene.

The blood relationship of Obat ã is quite complicated:

Originated from 1. Sarchimor produced by hybridization between Hibrido de Timor (source of disease resistance gene) and Villa Sarch (little fat variety mutated by Costa Rica bourbon, previously talked about link).

Then hybridized with 2. Mundo Novo (late maturity, adapted to low altitude gene source) to produce a variety called Tupi

(according to Five Elephant's notes, Tupi is characterized by disease resistance, rising acidity, strong body, and a taste reminiscent of green pepper-remember that Exilar used to find this for a while.)

The next step is to produce a variety called Red Obat ã with 3. Red Catuai. After this series of breeding efforts, Obat ã carries about 95 per cent of the arabica gene and 5 per cent of the robusta gene. (characteristics, rising sour, body strong, very sweet, and then you can dig up flower-like features)
