A Kenyan micro-batch boutique coffee highly recommended by testers.
Kenya's boutique coffee industry is different from the general, mostly in the form of a combination of small farmers, wet treatment plants and cooperatives. Farmers will send the harvested coffee cherries to nearby processing plants or cooperatives in the shortest possible time. At the same time, cooperatives also regularly send staff to tutor local farmers to ensure that each producer has professional planting skills to maintain the quality of coffee. The KIAGUTHU treatment plant, established in 1964 at an altitude of about 1850m, is located in the Karuthi region in the middle of Neri District, located between two rivers-the Rwarai River and the Chinga River, which originate from the Aberdeen Mountains. The total number of members of the treatment plant is about 550, of whom nearly 80% are male. The KIAGUTHU farm belongs to the Othaya Farmers' Cooperative, which applies for grants from the World Bank, hires consultants to provide professional training related to agronomy of its members, and sets up exclusive variety nurseries and laboratories to carry out related research such as variety research and development.
