It has half of the original forest coverage, up to 15 meters thick red-brown clay, an average altitude of more than 2000 meters, etc., suitable for excellent geographical conditions for coffee cultivation.

This selected batch grows in an area of 1900 meters, the main growers in this area are mostly small farmers, and the soil is red brown clay with rich nutrients and good drainage. The Cochelle Farmers' Organization has about 800 smallholder members, with an average of two hectares of coffee growing land per farmer. In order to have a proper proportion of coffee in the sun, farmers plant Acacia trees and trees endemic to East Africa to absorb some of the midday sun.
