The coffee comes from the Bener Meriah region of Takengon in central Aceh province, surrounded by about 300 small farmers, using the traditional Indonesian "wet peeling" or "semi-washing" method, or "Giling Basah" in the local language. After the coffee is picked here, the pulp will be removed by the pulp removal machine, and the pectin and sundries will be removed after overnight fermentation. Then dry the shelled beans in the sun field and reduce the moisture to about 12%. Finally, the sheepskin is removed by a sheller and selected by local women by hand.
