Thiriku Estate in Kenya, which is located in East Africa, is one of the major coffee producing countries. More than 6 million people in the country are engaged in the coffee industry, mostly in the form of a combination of small farmers and cooperatives. Most coffee trees in Kenya are planted at an altitude of 1400 meters to 2000 meters above sea level. Nyeri is close to the mountains of Mount Kenya. Founded in 2000, Thiriku is made up of six different villages and currently has about 1900 members.
