We did not test MCT oil, short-chain C8 MCT oil or coconut oil because the original experiment was already too long, and the number of subjects who left midway (who failed to complete the experiment) was also a problem. In spite of this, the experiment finally came to a very definite result: with or without cream, the coffee in the local coffee shop scored lower on the cognitive function test than the upgraded coffee tested in the experiment. it also reached a statistically significant difference.

We tested seven different brain executive functions using standard psychological tests, including reverse spatial memory span, coding, classification, color words, finger tapping, visual pairing, and 3-back tasks. Compared with regular coffee from all over the United States, six of the seven tests showed an improvement in the executive function of the brain. Surprisingly, the results of one of the tests showed that the addition of cream only helped a little, even made the executive function backward, and even the type of coffee did not show much difference. Cream works because cream relieves hunger and allows willpower to work freely. Although cream does not directly stimulate the brain like coffee, it fortunately does not degrade your performance.

Fortunately, there are some ways to "hack" other hackers. When gut bacteria lack starch or sugar, they get hungry. Hungry bacteria make FIAF, which makes you burn fat; when gut bacteria have plenty of sugar or starch, they no longer make FIAF, and you start storing fat. MCT oils, especially the shortest medium-chain fats, put pressure on bacteria throughout the gut, and if you take these fats with fasting, you actively interfere with the intention of intestinal bacteria to store extra fat. The polyphenols in coffee are also like probiotics of Bacteroides, and the bacteria of Bacteroides are more common in the intestines of thin people. You can't increase the bacteria with supplements. You have to feed them with good food.

Drinking coffee with fat temporarily suppresses the activity of all intestinal bacteria, and then provides food for "skinny" bacteria to multiply ──, which is what I can actually see in my own intestinal test reports, as do the uBiome tests that other bulletproof eaters share with me. They have an above-average number of Bacteroides, which is associated with maintaining a slim figure, and fewer phyllococcus bacteria (associated with obesity). A study of mice showed that coffee plus a high-fat diet "even with unhealthy fat" may reduce weight, obesity, liver triglycerides and calorie intake. In addition, coffee is more beneficial to body composition (body composition) and optimizes the key ratio of thick-walled bacteria to Bacteroides.
