Costa Rica Shumava Estate Black Honey Growing Environment and Flavor Characteristics
Sumava de Lourdes, located in Naranjo, Orange County, West Valley, Costa Rica, has two farms: Monte Llano Bonito and Monte Lourdes, of which Monte Llano Bonito won 13th place in the 2015 CoE competition. Francisco Mena bought Sumava two years ago in order to grow fine coffee himself. He has many reform plans for the estate, such as new drying cement yard, renovation of wet treatment yard, etc. Jose Ordonez, the senior manager of the estate, and the original skilled employees help a lot in the coffee tree pruning, fertilization and daily maintenance of the facilities. There are large areas of grassland used for grazing livestock, but there is also room for new coffee trees to be planted. Shumawa will chop up the cut trees and make organic compost. Of course, there will be enough virgin forest to maintain the ecological balance of plants and animals in the park. It is a tradition of Costa Rican agriculture. Francis can plan to plant a variety of coffee varieties, choose the slope with the most sunshine in the morning, plant Villasarch on 10 hectares, SL28 on 2 or 3 hectares, Gesha on 1 hectare, and use tall cypress trees as boundaries and broken wind trees among different varieties. Add the original Caturra varieties to create his coffee kingdom. This batch of coffee is a sun-baked batch. The dry aroma of light roasting is full and sweet. White wine, hazel fruit, honey and vanilla are alternately displayed. The wet aroma has berry cherry sour and sweet. The sweet taste lasts for a long time and tastes smooth. At medium temperature, grape, cherry and mulberry are charming. At low temperature, the aftertaste has lychee fragrance. The dry aroma of medium roasting has chocolate and cedar fragrance. It also slightly reveals brandy wine fragrance. The dark chocolate aroma of wet aroma brings caramel sweetness. When drinking, it has longan caramel fragrance. Creamy smooth taste with a slight aroma, low temperature wine some lychee, rum grape aroma, with cocoa aftertaste, medium high temperature to room temperature all good to drink!
