Honey treatment

The so-called honey treatment refers to the process of making raw beans with mucous membrane for sun-drying. After the outer pulp of the coffee bean is removed, there will be a layer of sticky jelly. According to different degrees of pectin is divided into yellow honey, red honey, black honey.

Yellow honey treatment: retain 20% of 50% pectin, dry with light, last for about 8 days, so that the moisture content reaches a stable value.

Costa Rican coffee has a history of more than 200 years. The manor is located between the foothills of two important mountains, Cerro de la Muerte and Cerro Chirrip ó (the highest peak in Costa Rica), with an elevation of 1600 meters.
