Among them, five major producing areas belong to volcanic geology, and the other three major producing areas are non-volcanic geology. The main harvest season is from December to March of the following year. High elevations such as Vivette Nan fruit producing area can be harvested until April, and usually can be shipped from April to July after the treatment is completed.

New Oriental (New Oriente) is a volcanic geology developed relatively late among the eight major producing areas in Guatemala. The soil is composed of uniformly mixed mineral metamorphic rocks. The coffee produced comes from small estates owned by small families. In recent years, it has become more and more famous and the market demand has increased greatly. The farms that used to grow other crops in the region have changed to grow coffee.

This bean from the New Oriental Cadilas Manor is a Pacas variety, a Bourbon mutant of the genus Bourbon. It was first found in El Salvador in 1949 compared with bourbon.
