Kirinyaga is located on the hillside of Mount Kenya, adjacent to Nyeri. It is famous for its strong, rich and solid coffee, and Nyeri is recognized as the two best producing areas in Kenya. Most of the producers in this area are small coffee farmers who join the cooperative, while the cooperative plays an integrated role in providing washing plants, while coffee farmers send coffee cherries to the co-operative's processing plant for raw bean processing.

The coffee producing areas in Kenya are mainly concentrated in the plateau areas represented by Mount Mt.Kenya. Tropical climate, acid red volcanic soil provides a natural and suitable growth environment for coffee. It is most famous in seven major producing areas, including Nyeri, Thika, Kiambu, Kirinyaga, Ruiru, Murang'an and the west side of Mount Kenya. Among them, the Rungeto FCS Longyedo Farmers' Cooperative is located in the KIrinyaga producing area on the southern slope of Mount Kenya. It began to grow coffee as early as 1953 and formally established the cooperative in 1996. Among the three processing plants Kii, Karimikui and Kiangoi, the kii processing plant is the earliest. These producing area information provides us with important information. In dealing with raw coffee beans, these cooperatives and processing plants are already veteran. Even so, the Kii processing plant often gets the competition place, and we chose the AB grade this time, not because of the low price.

The classification of coffee grades in Kenya mainly focuses on the size of coffee beans. The big one is AA, the purpose of 15jue 16 is AB, and then the smaller ones are divided into TT,C, T and PB grades. However, this division also divides the flavor. The AA grade usually has a strong BlackBerry flavor, and the body is obviously thicker. Most of the AB grade has a brighter acid value and has more citrus flavor, of course, there are exceptions. And we like the taste with slightly higher acid value, brighter flavor and no burden to drink, so we chose this one.
