The planting history of Yunnan small-grain coffee in China can be traced back to the end of the 19th century. Arabica was introduced into Yunnan for trial planting by the French. For a long time, Yunnan small-grain coffee was sold in the form of raw material supply. Therefore, we did not pay attention to the importance of planting and post-processing technology to flavor improvement. The popularity of the third wave of coffee also led to the revitalization of Yunnan boutique coffee.
The producing areas of Yunnan are mainly Pu'er, Wenshan, Baoshan, Dehong, Xishuangbanna and other western and southern regions. Pu'er is mainly composed of Katim, which belongs to the mixture of Kaddura (Tibica + bourbon) and Tim (Robusta).
