Historically, mantning coffee has a long history. In the 17th century, the Dutch first introduced Arabica coffee seedlings to Indonesia. In 1877, a massive disaster struck the Indonesian islands, and coffee rust destroyed almost all of the coffee trees. People had to abandon Arabica, which had been in business for many years, and imported Robusta coffee trees from Africa.

On February 14, 1942, the Japanese attacked Sumatra, and the Netherlands surrendered a month later. On March 15, the Japanese captured Indonesia. One day a Japanese soldier was drinking coffee in a Sumatra cafe. He thought it tasted good and asked the boss what kind of coffee it was. The boss mistakenly thought that the Japanese soldier asked where he was from, so he replied,"Mandailing." Thus was born Mantenin Coffee.

Mount Gayo Mantenin is located in Aceh province, which is famous for producing top-grade coffee. Indonesian coffee beans are generally uneven in size, cracked and have more defective beans regardless of grade. However, in fact, more than 80% of Mantenin in Mount Gayou is Tibika species, unlike other parts of Indonesia where several kinds of beans are mixed for sale, so the appearance of raw beans is relatively uniform.

Mount Gayo is located in the highest mountain area in Aceh Province. Although it has a lower alcohol content than other producing areas, its unique acidity and superior balance make it the highest coffee in Indonesia.

Manteling coffee is considered to be the world's most rich and aromatic coffee. When you taste mantelin, you can feel the obvious lubrication on the tip of the tongue. It also has a low acidity, but this acidity can also be clearly tasted. The jumping acid is mixed with the most intense aroma, and the sweet aftertaste is long, so that you can easily feel the lively factors in the mild fragrance. In addition to this, mantning coffee also has a light earthy aroma, some people describe it as herbal aroma.

Sumatra, Indonesia

Origin: Sumatra, Indonesia

Mention Sumatra and you will not hesitate to think of mantelin, which is full-bodied, with moderate acidity and rich sweetness. If Yegachev is a graceful girl, then Mantenin is a calm gentleman-intriguing.

Mantelin was a godsend to me, and it kept me up through countless late nights trying to catch up. One day, I calm down, carefully taste, suddenly fell in love with this rich taste, as if this is the taste of coffee-strong like a glass of wine, people intoxicated.

So far I've only had two kinds of Mantenine, one is Gold Mantenine and the other is Gayou Mountain Mantenine. Gold mantinine is a product adopted by Japanese more than ten years ago with stricter quality control. It has been hand-selected four times. It is rich and thick with honey cream aroma, unique; while Kayou Mountain mantinine has almond sweet and fresh grass aroma and smooth taste with low complexity. In Indonesia, gold mantinine has become two mainstream products.

FYI: Mantelin and caramel cookies are perfect for each other. Don't ask me why, you'll know when you try them.
