Blue Mountain Coffee-
Coffee drinkers have probably heard of Blue Mountain Coffee and know that Jamaica Blue Mountain is a great coffee! But are all the blue mountains we drink real blue mountains?
'Blue Mountain flavor'
It just means that the coffee tastes like Blue Mountain (not necessarily), and there may not even be a real Blue Mountain coffee bean in it.
'Jamaican coffee'
Blue Mountain Coffee comes from Jamaica, but Jamaican Coffee is not necessarily Blue Mountain Coffee.
'Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee'
That's Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee, but it takes some conditions to call it Jamaica Blue Mountain No.1.
Why is it called Blue Mountain Coffee?
The Blue Mountains are located in the eastern part of the island of Jamaica, surrounded by the Caribbean Sea. Whenever the weather is clear, the sun shines directly on the blue sea, and the peaks reflect the bright blue light of the sea, so they are called 'Blue Mountains'. The Blue Mountains, with fertile volcanic soil, fresh air, humid climate, foggy and rainy all the year round, have created the world-famous Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee as well as the highest price in the world.
There are three grades of coffee in the Blue Mountains of Jamaica: blue Mountain Coffee (Jamaica Blue Mountain), Alpine Coffee (Jamaica High Mountain) and Jamaican Coffee (Jamaica Low Mountain or Jamaica Supreme). Coffee grown below 1500 feet above sea level is called Jamaican coffee. Coffee grown between 1500 feet and 3000 feet above sea level is called mountain coffee. Blue mountain coffee can only be called blue mountain coffee at an altitude of 3000 to 5000 feet. The price of blue mountain coffee is several times higher than that of alpine coffee. Blue Mountain Coffee is divided into No.2 and No.1, and No.1 is one of the top.
At present, the top production of Jamaica Blue Mountain No.1 has about Wallenford, Mavis Bank, Old Tavern, RSW Estate and so on, of which Wallenford is the only special Jamaican state-owned processing plant. The legal production area of Blue Mountain Coffee is 3000-5000 feet. Wallenford Estate only selects blue mountain coffee beans that grow more than 4000 feet above sea level for processing. The Blue Mountain Coffee produced by Wallenford Estate is known as "Superior Quality". Of all the Blue Mountain estates in Jamaica, Wallenford Estate performs best in terms of quality management, stability, popularity and flavor.
Lanjue Manor is owned by the MINOTT family, which has a history of 70 years because its members are coffee professionals. The 70 acres of the estate are used to grow coffee, and the pristine tropical forest has a gentle breeze and warm sunshine, which is home to the best coffee in the world. The white clouds under the blue sky and the shade of natural trees allow the thick green coffee trees to have time to avoid the destruction of strong sunlight, because the shade provides a natural buffer zone, appropriate growth temperature and good humidity zone. more improve the quality and unique flavor.
When it comes to harvest time, trained staff use natural spring water to ferment to maintain the best quality of coffee beans. Coffee beans with sheepskin are put on a tray to be dried, then shelled, cup tested to confirm the quality before barrel export.
