Colombia is currently the third largest coffee-producing country in the world, second only to Brazil and Vietnam. Coffee was first cultivated in the 1830s. By the 20th century, coffee accounted for the largest proportion of export crops. The unique mountainous terrain and diverse microclimate provided an ideal planting environment. About 75% of the total output was sold abroad, becoming the most important foreign exchange income.

Nalinglong production area is located in the southeast of Colombia and Ecuador at the junction of the Andes Mountains, Nalinglong production area is located near the equator, the number of sunshine hours received throughout the year is almost the same, at the same time here location and geographical environment, suitable for coffee growth of the annual average temperature, daily morning and evening stable temperature changes and annual rainfall, rich in organic matter soil, so that Nalinglong production area coffee trees can thrive in very high altitude areas, coffee flavor and aroma has a significant impact.

La Florida is located in the province of Nariño, close to the main city of Pasto and the most active volcano Las Galeras; the hills surrounding the volcano are filled with nutrient-rich volcanic soil, making them ideal for growing coffee.

Quillacingas are indigenous tribes that lived in the area before the Spanish arrived, and their culture has survived to this day, giving unique names to the mountains, rivers and villages of the area. Mombuco(meaning "narrow valley") is the original name of La Florida, founded in 1820 as an important approach station in the north between Pasto, the main city of La Florida, and Popayan, the largest city in Cauca.

The topography of the area creates microclimates in different cities, where coffee is grown at cool temperatures ranging from 12-22 degrees during the day to night. These cool temperatures contribute to the slow development of the coffee fruit, which, combined with the high altitude, gives the coffee its distinctive sweet and sour flavor. Florida coffee producers are small, with an average farm size of 1-3 hectares, and each estate owner has a small processing plant and drying equipment capable of processing coffee cherries.

Condor acquires coffee from more than 300 estates in the region, all of which are sampled and cup-tested, classified by cup test score range, stored separately according to quality or specific area, and additionally given producer subsidies to encourage these small farmers to control quality and ensure stable supply to Condor in the future.
