Mantenin coffee is produced in Sumatra, Indonesia, Asia, otherwise known as Sumatra coffee. The main habitats are Java, Sulawesi and Sumatra, 90% of which are Robusta species. The most famous of these is the "Mantelin" from Sumatra. The finest of the fine traditional Arabica coffees produced in Sumatra North are marketed under the titles Lintong and Mandheling. Lintong refers to coffee grown in a small area southwest of Toba Lake in Lindong Administrative District. Small coffee plantations are scattered over a high, undulating clay plateau filled with ferns. Lintong coffee is grown without shade, without chemicals, and almost exclusively owned by small owners.
Indonesia's fine coffee producing areas
Indonesia's fine coffee producing areas are mainly distributed in northern Sumatra, Sulawesi, Java and other high-altitude places, of which Sumatra is the main producing area of fine beans.
The most familiar mantenin is mainly distributed around Toba Lake in the north central part of Sumatra, and the most famous one is the semi-sun beans or sun beans located in Dongshan District (Lingtong) at an altitude of 900~1200 meters on the southwest coast!
Gold mantinin, hand-picked four times, was a notch above the average mantinin.
Lake Tawa coffee is a kind of washed, semi-washed or sun-dried beans grown in the vicinity of Lake Tawa in Aceh, northern Sumatra, at an altitude of 800 - 1600 meters in the area of Gayo Moutain. Coffee beans in this area are valued by everyone.
Old mantinen and Java old brown.
From these points, it can be seen that only the third point of Tawa Lake coffee is not called Mantenin, this is mainly because of the coffee beans in the Tawa Lake and Aceh region. Coffee trees are mainly cultivated in traditional shade, which is very different from the insolation cultivation in Lindong or Toba Lake. Moreover, they are washed and semi-washed, and the acid flavor is more obvious. Therefore, the coffee beans here are usually not called Mantenin Coffee, but Aceh Coffee or Tawa Lake Coffee! Don't be confused, everyone ~
