Los Lirios Farm

Farm

Los Lirios is San Isidro Chacaya's sister farm, which the Cabrera family bought in 1919 (10 years later than San Isidro Chacaya). It is also part of the family business and has been producing coffee for more than 100 years.

Position

The farm is located in Solola province in the western highlands of Guatemala, right in the middle of the famous traditional Atitlan? Area. Los Lilios stands in front of Volken San Pedro. The farm covers an area of more than 90 mu, including more than 10 mu of coffee, which is an excellent nature reserve. Mount Los Lilios is between 1.700 and 2.100 miles an hour. Because of its topography, it has magnificent views of lakes, farms, protected areas and three volcanoes (Attland, San Pedro and Torriman) that surround the plantation.

Our coffee.

The output of the farm is about 100-200 bags, 60 kilograms each. Quality is our most valuable asset, which is positively affected by altitude, volcanic soil, different microclimates and good agricultural conditions. The high elevations, volcanoes and mountains around the farm are important factors that determine the microclimate. Our coffee is traditionally processed on the farm: picking by hand, desizing, natural fermentation, washing and drying.

We grow different varieties, but in this area we grow Typica, Caturra and Pacamara.

All coffee produced on the farm is exported in small quantities to professional coffee roasters in Australia, Canada, China, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and the United States.
