Front Street-Ethiopia Yega Sheffield Dumeso

The small farmer members of the Dumerso dry and Wet treatment Plant and its cooperative are located in the Yega Coffee producing area of about 17590-2300 meters. They are co-operated by Surafel Birhanu and his family. They are also one of the founding members of YCFCU in 2002.

Surafel provides technical guidance to small farmers. The ripe cherries are picked by individual small farmers and sent to the Dumerso treatment plant for 24-36 hours of washing tank fermentation, and after washing for preliminary classification, and then placed in the African scaffolding for more than 10 days to dry, while turning regularly every day to remove defects again to ensure the stability of flavor and quality in each batch.
