Cauca department, which is one of the most important producing areas of Colombian boutique coffee, is located in the southwest of Colombia, adjacent to Narino Department and Huila Department.

80% of Cauca is mountainous, with an average elevation of about 1800 meters, with a maximum of 2100 meters.
