The origin of rosy summer coffee

Rose coffee beans are also known as geisha, but they do not originate in Japan, but they are named because the mountain where they grew up in Ethiopia is called Gesha, which happens to be pronounced homonym with the traditional Japanese geisha Geisha, but in recent years, Chinese transliteration is mostly Rosa Coffee.

Geisha was discovered in the Rose Summer Forest of Ethiopia in 1931 and sent to the Coffee Institute in Kenya; it was introduced to Uganda and Tanzania in 1936, to Costa Rica in 1953, and to Panama in the 1970s by Franco Coco of Dongba Seven Farm Garden. Mr. Serraxin got the seeds from CATIE, Costa Rica, and started growing Rosa Coffee.

Although the original hometown of this coffee bean is in the Gesha Mountains in southwestern Africa, coffee farmers do not like to grow this kind of coffee because the yield is not high after it was introduced to Panama. Until the Emerald Manor La Esmeralda in Panama shone with this coffee bean in the Panamanian cup test in 2004, Rosa's fame began to spread. Another reason is that the output of Rosa coffee is relatively small, so when people equate the price with quality, our Rosa coffee has become a legend in an instant.

Characteristics of Rosa Coffee

Elida Alida Manor is located in the town of Bouquete Poquet, a well-known coffee producing area in Panama.
