Introduction to the manor: Bourbon Manor is located in a very special area of Patzun in Chimaltenango province, which is located between the two major coffee producing areas of Acatenango and Atitlan, but its annual output is so scarce that it is not classified as an independent coffee producing area. Its unique geographical location and micro climate mainly come from steep slopes and deep valleys, and this is the only estate here that produces coffee. It was run by the Echeverria family in 1870, and the first coffee planted in 1878 was Bourbon. All coffee is 100% bourbon, and most of the coffee trees in continuous production are over 70 years old, and some are even over 100 years old. Because seeds are collected from old bourbon trees, traditional varieties have been preserved. The estate was one of the first coffee plantations to be certified by OCIA in Guatemala in 1966.

Coffee trees grow in the shade of natural trees, and fully ripe coffee fruits are picked only by hand, washed completely, and then dried in the sun on the terrace.
