Gesha Village Gori Gesha Forest, where the summer rose seed was first discovered. In 2011, Adam followed consultant Willem Boot in the forest around the estate to start "exploration", in a dense forest magically wrapped in the jungle, found a variety of wild tree species, the most surprising of which is the wild rose summer. They later learned that this was the Gori Gesha Forest, where the first varieties of Gesha coffee were discovered. They collected seeds from native rose trees, carefully screened them and sent them to specialized agencies for genetic testing to determine that they belonged to the original collection site of Panamanian rose varieties; then, by studying the plant morphology of coffee trees, the appearance and size of coffee beans, and the cup test results, they selected the summer rose seeds closest to today's Panamanian rose, and began to raise seedlings. Adam has his own understanding of coffee treatment, with high-quality sun and water to highlight its regional flavor, supplemented by a small amount of honey treatment and other experimental batches.

The internal classification of Gesha Village in Guixia Village is divided into bidding, gold label, red label, green label and Chaka batch. Guixia Village includes three varieties, namely Gori Gesha, Gesha 1931 and Illubabor (Ethiopia native disease resistant variety).

How to distinguish?

Even the finest estates produce coffee of varying quality. In order to live up to the "flavor reputation" of Guixia Village, a strict grading system has been implemented in Guixia Village.

> Bidding batches

It accounts for only 3.7% of the annual output of Guixia Village. The top batch of the estate after rigorous screening can only be obtained through the global bidding of Guixia Village Coffee Estate in 2018. The cup test score of the bidding batch in 2018 is 88.15-92.67 points, which is divided into Champion s Reserve and Farm Reserve. For example, Gesha Village 2018 Auction Lot RSV.6 belongs to the bidding lot.

> Gold standard batch

It only accounts for 5% of the annual output of Guixia Village. The batches usually selected by competitors all over the world will also be purchased by bakers with high requirements for quality. It has complete traceability. Each batch has outstanding flavor and high complexity. It is the most excellent standard of the manor after bidding.

> Red label batch

Batches with complete traceability have typical summer flavor, flavor intensity and complexity are slightly weaker than gold standard batches, and are single product batches with very high cost performance.

> Green Label Lot

A batch from a single plot and a single variety, with typical rustic flavor, flavor intensity and complexity slightly weaker than the red label batch.

>Chaka batches

The coffee blend produced by Guixia Village includes three varieties, namely Gori Gesha, Gesha 1931 and Illubabor.

The total area of Guixia Village is 471 hectares. Since 2011, the planting area has been gradually expanded. By 2017, the planting area is about 320 hectares, which is one of the largest Guixia Manor in the world. In order to better manage and refine the coffee flavor, the manor owner divided the Guixia Village Garden into 8 regions, and on this basis, each batch was numbered again. The west of the manor is relatively high, so OMA, SURMA and SHEWA-JIBABU are slightly higher above sea level, while the shade ratio is relatively higher in the south and the sunshine time is longer in the north. For each of the eight plots, estate managers selected the most suitable variety (shown above) based on microclimate differences such as altitude, soil conditions, and shade conditions, ensuring that each plot would have distinct characteristics.

Rose summer has always dominated people's topic, in the eyes of coffee people, rose summer is undoubtedly a well-deserved goddess, how many people are infatuated with her bright and complex flower fragrance, multi-level high sweetness of fruit tonality and delicate soft acid.
