Although Ethiopia was the first country in the world to discover coffee, Yemen was the first country in the world to produce coffee on a large scale as a crop. In the 17th century, the first batch of Yemeni coffee was exported to Europe via the ancient small port Mocha Port, which is the origin of the name Mocha coffee. Ethiopia, across the sea from Yemen, also exports coffee through Mocha Port, so Ethiopian sun-cured coffee is often called Mocha (such as Ethiopian Harar ETHIOPIA HARRAR). Yemeni mocha is the originator of the World Coffee Trade and has contributed to the promotion of delicious coffee to the whole world. It was called "Arabic Coffee" in the 17th century, which is also the origin of the name "Arabica Original".

Yemeni mocha coffee has distinct taste characteristics, special taste, variable layers, strong acidity, pleasant fruit acidity, and obvious chocolate taste. The stronger the coffee, the easier it is to taste chocolate. Therefore, in order to better understand the unique taste of Yemen mocha coffee, people now add hot chocolate to coffee to make fancy mocha coffee.

Mocha beans are smaller and rounder than most coffee beans and have a light green color, which makes them look more like peas. Mocha coffee beans are similar in appearance to Ethiopian Harald coffee beans in that they are small in size, high in acidity, and mixed with a strange and indescribable spicy flavor

Yemeni coffee prices on the international market have not been low, mainly because Yemeni coffee is very popular in countries and regions where drinking "Turkish" coffee is popular. In Saudi Arabia, Yemeni mocha is so beloved that people there prefer to pay a premium for mocha coffee of lower quality. This particular fondness for mocha keeps mocha coffee prices high on the world coffee market.
