Missing the fragrance of egg rolls as a child, Zhang Jinxiong (20, Grade 3) from the Diploma in Food Science and Technology of Singapore Institute of Technology, together with three classmates, developed a milky coffee with a clear smell of egg rolls.

After nearly three months of research, they finally came up with this coffee with an Assyrian flavor. Because the English name of egg rolls is Love Letter, they call it newly mixed milk coffee as "love letter latte" (Love Letter Latte).

This is the 11th commercial catering product launched since the establishment of the Food Science and Technology course. In addition to the Love letter latte, 11 other third-graders at the college spent nearly six months mixing three mixed coffees (coffee blend), an Asian-flavored French dessert (macaroons), and other foods that are best suited for plain coffee.

The three mixed coffees are named Fandango, Kaffeol and Sing Kaffel respectively. The students came up with a suitable dessert match for the new coffee-sesame with Asian flavor and French dessert with chocolate orange flavor.

Do you know what food is most suitable for plain coffee? After research and experiment, this group of students found that Youtiao, nine-layer cake and even cheesecake are the best matches.

The Singapore Institute of Technology has a "Coffee School" (School Of Coffee), which is mainly run by the local coffee company KaffeeKultur, which provides students with an internship environment and allows students to learn more about coffee.

In this research project, KaffeeKultur provides all kinds of training and materials to help students successfully develop love letter lattes, three kinds of mixed coffee and food matching projects.

When asked, Chen Guoqiang, chairman of KaffeeKultur, said that French desserts with love letter lattes, three kinds of mixed coffee and sesame and chocolate orange flavor will be officially launched at Coffee School in the third week of next month and will be sold to students and the public.

KaffeeKultur also plans to sell "Love letter lattes" in the coffee shop of Qiao Biomedical Park (Biopolis) before the Lunar New year.
