Technical score table

Part I-Competition area score

Competition area:

All areas must be clean and planned. What is easy to ignore is whether the machine water plate has obvious powder residue and whether the powder cartridge is clean. All in all, things are as clean and tidy as they can be. It's best to be like a coffee shop that just opened!

Part II-score of espresso

Spilled / residual powder:

The amount of residual powder includes all the powder left in the separator, on the table, and removed. Basically, all the wasted powder in the two shot processes add up to 1 point, but if the player gives up the current shot, the residual powder must be recalculated according to the actual time of the cup.

Consistent powder loading and packing techniques:

My original understanding is that the main requirement of consistency is whether the amount of powder on the handle is the same in the end, so if the technique looks the same (including using light filling to adjust the position of the pressure), but there is a great difference in flow pattern and flow rate, it should not be given a high score, but there is an extra powder replenishment action, but in the end, the powder content can be maintained after filling and pressing, and the flow shape and flow rate should be kept the same. Then it should not be too low, but after reading some score forms this time, I have reservations about my cognition. Please refer to it. (anyway, the highest purpose is to act the same, and the amount of powder after filling is the same).

Part V-Technical score

Management capabilities of the workspace:

This is an all-inclusive project, the more fluent the whole performance process, the higher the score. Points may be deducted for recooking, in a daze, hesitation, placing a bunch of instruments that do not know what to do, and so on. The goal of practice should be to make the equipment the most concise. Movements, speeches can be very smooth and uninterrupted, each action is purposeful, so the score will be high.

Part VI-neatness at the end of the competition

The competition area is tidy:

As in the beginning, clean as much as you can, clean up the used utensils, it is best to put the same kind of equipment together, and the goal is to be as clean as at first (some contestants can even be cleaner).

Presiding score table

The presiding judge's score table has only a few fields. Friends with viewing rules should know that the presiding judge's score is not calculated, so why should the presiding judge score? this must be explained from the work of the presiding judge. The role of the referee in the competition is to maintain the fairness of the game and avoid excessive errors in other judges' scores. When watching the game, the referee will go over and have a drink after the sensory judges finish drinking. Even because the referee must evaluate the drinks sent by the contestants and remember the approximate scores, he can only correct them with the sensory judges after the competition. For example, when the referee determines that the taste score of a cup of espresso should be 3-3.5, but in the correction, the sensory judges who drink that cup of espresso should score 2.5, so the referee should ask the sensory judges why they scored 2.5. And discuss whether to adjust the score, of course, play very high also need to do such a correction action.

So the fields on the referee's score table are for the referee to quickly mark what he thinks of the score in order to maintain the fairness of the game.
