What should you pay attention to when making coffee?
1. Coffee beans should not be stored for a long time after grinding into powder. in fact, there is basically no way to drink coffee beans after more than three days, and the taste will become sour. It's best to wipe it out within three hours. So don't grind too much powder at one time. Even the coffee bean itself must be kept in a sealed jar after it is taken apart. It is best to kill it within a week, even if it exceeds it, do not exceed too much.
2. You can use a coffee drip filter or pot to brew. Generally, electric coffee pots in the market fall into this category.
3. You can also use a siphon pot, just like the one used in chemical experiments, but although this one is highly ornamental, it takes some skill to make good coffee.
4. Or you can use a mocha pot to make espresso. You need to consult how to use it.
5. For the simplest, use a French filter press. This appliance is also called a tea trap and is used to make tea, so it is generally easier to buy and the price is not expensive. The method of use is relatively simple.
Seven Tips for making Coffee
1. Boiling will make the coffee bitter. It is recommended that you never boil the coffee directly on the fire, but brew it at a temperature between 90-96 ℃.
2. Do not reheat the brewed coffee. It is recommended that you brew the coffee only before you drink it, and only make the amount you want to drink. The temperature to maintain the best flavor of coffee is 86 ℃.
3. Use fresh water to brew. The amount of water per cup should be 98%. If there is a strange smell in the water, consider filtering it with activated carbon.
4. Do not reuse ground coffee powder. Because what remains in the soaked coffee powder is the bitter ingredient of coffee.
5. Please use the correct degree of grinding provided by the coffee manufacturer. Grinding too fine will cause excessive extraction, produce bitterness, or block the brewing utensils. Insufficient grinding will lead to coffee as light as water. If the dripping type brewing apparatus is used, the dripping process should be completed within 2-4 minutes, which is the appropriate degree of grinding.
6. It is recommended that you use 10 grams of ground coffee powder for every 180 ml of water. No matter how much coffee you want to make, it should be prepared in the same proportion. In addition, you can also adjust the proportion according to your preference, but if you use less coffee powder, or if you grind too finely, the coffee will be light and bitter.
7. Coffee should be kept on the coffee machine for no more than 20 minutes. If you leave it for too long, it will lose its flavor. It is recommended to use an incubator or vacuum pot to keep the coffee warm and fragrant for a long time.
