The island of Jamaica lies in the beautiful Caribbean Sea. On a sunny day, the blue water shines brightly in the sun, rendering the majestic peaks in the eastern part of the island a touch of blue. This peak is therefore named Blue Mountain. Here, the soil is fertile, the precipitation is abundant, the climate is humid, the air is fresh, and it is sunny and cloudy all the year round. The unique environment makes the coffee here become the most famous top coffee in the world with its rich aroma, mellow taste, warm style, fresh breath and perfect and balanced combination of sweet, sour and bitter taste.

Coffee is the main cash crop in Jamaica, and coffee farms are all over the island. However, only in the four administrative regions of St. Andrew, Portland, St. Thomas and St. Mary, certified by the Jamaica Coffee Industry Council (Coffee Industry Board of Jamaica,CIB), coffee grown in the Blue Mountains above 2000 feet above sea level is allowed to be called Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee.

The Blue Mountain, the national treasure of Jamaica

There is no doubt that the best Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee beans were born in Valenford Manor, and in fact another reason why the estate is admired by global coffee fans is its status as a national treasure.

Founded by Wallenford Manor, Wallenford Coffee Co., Ltd. is now an unlisted company wholly owned by the Jamaican government, in other words, the only "state-owned" status in many coffee estates in Jamaica. Only choose the best blue mountain coffee fruit for processing; the quality process control is particularly strict; the output is very limited. All these factors have shaped the image of Wallenford Manor as the "most stable and trustworthy coffee processing estate", and its product is designated as the highest level of Blue Mountain coffee. Due to the high price and usually selected by the royal aristocracy, the Jamaican Coffee Industry Committee was established in June 1950, using the authority of the government to carry out strict management of the cultivation and processing of coffee in order to ensure and further improve the quality of Jamaican coffee.
