Latte is transliterated into latte in Chinese and comes from the Italian word caffelatte, which means "coffee milk", which is a mixture of milk and coffee. The word Latte is sometimes spelled as latt é or latt è. In Italy, caff è latte is usually made at home and drunk only at breakfast. Italians use a mocha pot to make coffee and then pour it into hot milk. It's not like we see that we have to foam the milk.

Outside Italy, a latte is usually served in a 240cc (240ml) cup with 30cc's single espresso or 60cc's double espresso, which is filled with milk and covered with about 12mm thick foam on top. In some places, lattes are also made in the ratio of espresso to hot milk at 1:1 and then covered with foam, much like cappuccino, except that the surface of the cappuccino is covered with coarse foam about 2cm thick.
