On May 11, the country's first engineer-themed coffee shop officially opened in the Ali office district of Yunqi town in Hangzhou, and COSTA joined hands with Ali to build this Code Space coffee brand. According to Jin Jia, director of the project, the purpose of creating such a themed coffee shop for programmers is to create a free coffee shop for them.

I drink a lot of coffee, but have you ever seen coffee that knows the code? On May 11, the country's first engineer-themed coffee shop officially opened in the Ali office district of Yunqi town in Hangzhou, and COSTA joined hands with Ali to build this Code Space coffee brand.

According to Jin Jia, director of the project, the purpose of creating such a themed coffee shop for programmers is to create a space for them to relax their bodies and minds.

As the saying goes, programmers have three treasures: coffee, overtime and computers. In the Yunqi theme store, there is a space stuffed with programmers with computers, and the wall behind them is full of dazzling geek elements such as keyboards and light bulbs.

If you say this wall is not as bright as the only female programmer in the picture (Hello! Let's take a look at the wall that programmers are facing, saying it's a wall, but it's more like a blackboard.

It is said that this board is jokingly called "programmer Challenge Board". Because, all programmers can write questions on this board, can be Aite people, can also wait for interested programmers to help themselves solve, in short, this is the interactive space for programmers.

During the trial period of the store, such a question appeared on the blackboard: how to use the code to help my girlfriend pick out the clothes she was satisfied with? Not to mention, there are really programmers sitting in this corner studying this matter.

The programmer studied also appeared in the store today, the 1992-born programmer, Masazawa. "his nickname is actually a tribute to regular expressions, which we programmers all know." A "gay friend" next to me interrupted and explained (I pretended to understand. )

According to Masazawa, one day in a certain month of a certain year (not long after the trial business), he came to the store for coffee and thought about his work. He looked up and met this topic, and in the next two or three days, whenever he was free, Zhengzawa was thinking about this topic.

Masazawa showed the reporter the model he thought about and built. "I first asked my girlfriend what style she liked and what style she didn't like, and collected some pictures of relevant clothing materials." He explained that he extracted the color, lines and other clothing features, and used machine learning to train the process. After that, the picture of a new dress can also be decomposed into various elements according to the above ideas, and scored by machine learning.

"I set the score range from 0 to 1. Generally speaking, if it exceeds 0.5, I will decide that my girlfriend will still like it." It took about 24 hours from the beginning of thinking to the code and the answer, Mr. Masazawa said. "Why are you thinking about it? Because it's fun! " In the past, there was no coffee shop in Yunqi town, and programmers' thinking space was placed in a nearby bakery, but now it has become a new space for them to communicate, he said.

What will be the reward for solving this problem? The answer may be a cup of coffee. In the Yunqi theme store, there is a custom-made coffee for programmers: Apsara coffee, whose name comes from Feitian, a very large-scale general computing operating system independently developed by Aliyun and serving the world.

This Apsara coffee has several features. First of all, its pull flower is Aliyun logo. Second, COSTA also selected beans for this coffee, extracting the best soluble concentration of 18%, 22%. How do you understand this number? To put it more popularly, this coffee tastes a little more concentrated and bitter than the coffee we usually drink.

Again, it's really big. When the clerk brought it up to the reporter, I asked, this is …... An oversized cup?

Shop assistant: this is a medium cup.

In the store space design and material use, Yunqi theme store also combines programmer culture with coffee organically. For example, on the wall on the left-hand side of the store is the memorabilia of Aliyun's development of the Feitian system, and directly in front of the counter facing the gate, the three-dimensional design of a set of keyboard patterns echoes the programmer's theme, and more interestingly, there are coffee beans in the keyboard keys.

"the theme store is built in the hope that programmers can jump out of the business environment of the coffee shop and have their own small world." Jin Jia said that according to their observation, programmers' love for coffee can be described as "jet lag". No matter in the morning, in the middle of the day, or in the evening, they will encounter programmers with coffee. Alibaba and COSTA share the same brand concept. From a cultural point of view, the elements of focus and obsession in COSTA barista culture are also similar to the community of programmers, and we hope to give some care to technology people with a special cup of coffee. " She said.

The reporter took a look, the price of this coffee is 31 yuan, which is reliable. At 10:24 every Monday, the coffee shop also offers free coffee for programmers. Well, I believe programmers are good at controlling time.

It is understood that since March this year, Apsara coffee has been launched in some COSTA stores in Suzhou, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Shanghai and Shenzhen. However, Yunqi Town deserves to be the first place to play with theme stores. The reporter learned that a similar theme area has been set up in Alibaba Xixi Park, adjacent to Ali Yun's office area.

"next, we also have plans to replicate such theme stores in other cities across the country." Jin Jia said that in the future, the theme store will continue to make new attempts on the integration of coffee culture and programmer culture, and some new designs and activities will be loaded in the theme store.

Recently, the "programmer Challenge Board" will also be transformed into a programmer competition, with some interesting code puzzles. Programmers who solve the problem can take away the coffee cups made for them. Interestingly, the code in the upper left corner of this challenge board is the first line of code of Aliyun Feitian system, which is also printed on the business card of every Aliyun employee.
