Cup test report:
"St. Martin Farm" is located on the high ridge of the famous Tarasu region, a forgotten village that cannot be found on a map. This is a coffee farm made up of 35 small families, some of which reach nearly 2,000 meters. Although the yield is low, the quality of the coffee produced is very excellent.
The reason why the farm was noticed, in fact, there is a short story. In 1994, a group of Peace Corps volunteers from the United States went to this remote mountain area to contribute to the poor farmers in this mountainous area. They set up a set of standards, including planting, harvesting and even setting up a small treatment plant for later washing treatment, but in the process they inadvertently found This town has a very special microclimate and a very native and excellent quality variety of old coffee. So they took this coffee to participate in many competitions, and sure enough, it was a blockbuster, with excellent quality, and even won the International Cup of Excellence five times in a row.
This is a very high quality Costa Rican coffee. First of all, I roasted it to the baking degree measured by the cup. After placing it for a day, I began to evaluate it. After grinding it into powder, it is a kind of flower fragrance. A feeling like a rose, very elegant, drupe and toffee taste, is also quite obvious. Then add hot water, broken dregs, salvage dregs, smell its wet aroma, there is a kind of plum and honey stamens feeling. Pick up my cup tester and start sipping-a clear sweetness with the flavor of caramel and nuts, especially when the aftertaste comes back, a very clear feeling of chocolate and caramel reverberates in my mouth! Wow-a very wonderful smell combination! As the temperature cools slowly, more berry flavors appear, and the brightness of blackberries and apples is very delicate, clear and sweet.
On the whole, it is not a strong flavor, but a smooth texture, moderate mellow (body), brilliant, so clear, a "good" Costa Rican coffee that you can't miss! --
Cup test score: 89
