Cup test report:
Coffee from Sumatra is commonly known as Mantenin. In fact, Mantenin is not a coffee variety or producing area, but it is actually the name of a local race. What is more interesting is that the Mantenin race does not specialize in growing coffee locally. The really fierce character is the "Batak" race, who grow high-quality coffee near Lake Lindongba.
Lindong is a small town near Lake dopa, which is the largest volcanic lake in the world, and its hinterland is very large, so the difference in the quality of coffee from the north to the east will be very large. we especially found this "Blue Batak Coffee" from the highest grade of Lindong Coffee!
It's hard to imagine such a delicate flavor in Sumatra, with dry aromas of ground powder, caramel chocolate, a hint of dirt and berries, and a mouthful of cookies. But what is really surprising is the wet aroma of hot water, citrus, pineapple, plums, figs and, in particular, the earthy smell of Sumatran coffee (the soil here is like the fresh smell of soil after rain). A rich taste of sweetness, strawberries, cinnamon, spices, aromatic trees, black tea, chocolate and a hint of wine, with excellent oil texture (body)
The baking degree of this bean is very suitable from shallow to deep. If you choose shallow roasting, you will get the above taste. If you choose a deeper baking degree, the taste will be more full-bodied and the taste will be relatively simple. This is a complex, sweet, simple and meticulous Sumatran coffee with outstanding flavor. --
