Carmen Estate Manor is one of the top estates in Panama and the winner of the Panamanian competition. After Carmen Manor delivered coffee from the micro-producing area of the Paso Anqiu Valley (Paso Ancho Valley) to Panama in 2008 and won fourth place, the beans in this unique region finally began to shine.

The Paso Anqiu Valley (Paso Ancho Valley) is located in western Panama near the Costa Rican border, on the western slope of the famous important coffee producing area Baru Volcano, which is a dormant volcano with an elevation of 3500 meters and the highest point in Panama. The volcano provides fertile soil for the Paso Anqiu Valley, accompanied by stable and moderate rainfall and suitable high altitude. The micro-producing area of the Paso Anqiu River Valley has become an excellent coffee producing area.

The coffee from the Paso Anqiu Valley is sent to Carmen Manor for post-processing. The unripe beans or overripe beans are removed by hand or from the flotation tank. The peeled berries are dried after being washed in a wet fermentation tank for about 24 hours.
