Located in the Abbottsford area on the outskirts of Melbourne, Au79 Caf é, a roasting cafe converted by a local maintenance garage, is known for its spatial design, function and hospitality. In addition to attaching importance to the high-quality coffee contained in the cup, it takes more effort to work in the environment where people move around.

If you are familiar with chemistry, you can probably figure out the meaning of the shop name from its name-in the periodic table, "Au79" stands for "gold". The gloss is bright, with a yellowish reddish hue, although the texture is soft but high in density, and the quality and light of gold are eye-catching. Au79 Cafe is adhering to the concept of "be as good as gold" and, through the hands of Mim Design, the design team responsible for the renovation, has realized this concept by merging the past with the present of the building.

Mim Design converted the rugged land of the garage into a vibrant indoor botanical garden, surrounded by lush planting, with low-key concrete as the main visual tone and elegant blue gray. The red brick walls and garage doors of the original maintenance shop are retained, and the design team draws inspiration from the old industrial space; the metal beam and column structure sets the tone of Au79 Cafe in an infinitely long industrial style, with deep black frames scattered in the vast space that seems to extend infinitely. Then, add lively pink and beige to the space, together with the terrazzo floor with unique texture like ink, which softens the rigid edges and corners of the space.

A large area of well-lit windows, natural light flow filled the room, a variety of enthusiastic space details exquisite presentation; a large number of high and low green rub into a little temperature to create a space of regenerative vitality and inclusiveness. The soft customized furniture, such as blush, adds a touch of tenderness, while the bright green and water-blue tones on the walls come from the creation of the artist Sammy Barry, which manually depicts the branches and leaves of the coffee tree, echoing the scattered planting on one side.
