Hama is a well-known cooperative in Ethiopia, famous for its excellent quality and the runner-up of tanning group and washing group in two consecutive eCafe competitions that year! And won the championship of the tanning group in the competition in 2006.
In 2007, we successfully introduced a small number of Hama for the first time, causing a sensation. In 2008, the Ethiopian government changed the coffee trading system and replaced the established auction and export model with the trading system of Ethiopian Commodity Exchange, referred to as ECX. So far, comments have not been decided, and it is true that a small amount of boutique has been lost.
To make up for the damage to fine coffee, you can only make up for it by purchasing directly from cooperatives. To put it simply, the government of the country of clothing believes that Yirgacheffe belongs to the water washing area of the Ming Dynasty. Under the framework of ECX, the Yirgacheffe you can buy is only a few areas. If you want to obtain small quantities of fine coffee, you can only purchase directly from cooperatives that have the right to export. Without going through cooperatives, small farmers cannot get signs, let alone export directly.
This batch of Hama cooperatives is still under the new system of procurement, we can only buy washed beans and can only purchase under the large frame, through YCFCU, we still rely on the help from within the cooperative to help us bid for Hama batches.

During the harvest season in October 2006, I paid a special visit to the Hama Cooperative in Yirgacheffee. Along the way, I went through the well-known misty valley and went up all the way to the town near Hama, where the elevation was already as high as 2200 meters, and then extended slightly down the valley-like terrain.
Hama's wet treatment plant is small but clean. Although the Hama cooperative belongs to YCFCU, it is actually a small village-level cooperative, which can also be called a "primary" cooperative.
