Coffee cultivation in Aquiares, which began in the late 19th century, is one of the largest coffee estates in Costa Rica and the first to be registered with the Costa Rican Coffee Association.

The estate covers an area of more than 917 hectares, of which 675 hectares are planted with coffee trees and other plants, and the remaining 150 hectares are used as natural rainforest reserves. Aquiaes Estate, located on the volcanic slopes of Turrialba, uses volcanic soil as the source of nutrition for coffee trees. the park has a large number of natural springs and 31 rivers for irrigation.

The estate is surrounded by two rivers, Turrialba and Aquiares, respectively. Aquiares means "the area between the two rivers" in the local aboriginal language. The Jesus Maria river shuttles through the manor, because the terrain drop forms a waterfall as high as 99 feet, so it is not difficult to imagine the paradise environment in the manor.

Coffee trees are planted between 820 and 1300 meters above sea level.

Aquiares Coffee Manor obtained the rainforest conservation certification in 2003 / 2004. They planted coffee trees along the contours to minimize soil erosion and reduce the waste water from the treatment of raw coffee beans to minimize pollution. The manor retains a very complete native forest, so that the growing coffee trees can live in harmony with the local natural ecology in the closest primitive environment.

In order to maintain the quality of raw coffee beans, Aquiares Manor only handles raw coffee beans in its own processing plant, which only deals with coffee beans grown at home. They handle raw coffee beans with a very serious attitude.

The coffee beans produced by Aquiares Manor are cultivated in a very good planting environment, with a very bright sour taste, flexible aroma and a supple and graceful taste.

The aroma is very similar to passion fruit, sweet and sour taste, there will be a period of similar floral taste, cool to mature chocolate sweetness.
