Yegashev introduced
Coordinates: 6 °10 °N 38 °12 °E Yegashev (English: Irgachefe, or Yirgachefe), also translated as Yegashefi, a town in the Gaio region of Ethiopia, at an altitude of between 1880 m and 1919 m. It is the capital of Yegashev district and an important producer of coffee. The coffee produced in this town is famous for its citrus aroma, so the coffee beans produced near the town, as long as they have citrus flavor, are also called Yegashev coffee. According to the Ethiopian Central Bureau of Statistics, in 1994, the total population of the town was 11579, of which 5814 were men and 5765 were women. In 2005, the total population was estimated at 20979, of which 10501 were men and 10478 were women.

On April 27, 1941, British troops set out from Abello and recaptured Yegashev.
